Run for Ronald

Come and celebrate the 4th Annual Running of IREM’s
Run for Ronald 5k Fun Run and Walk — Saturday, June 19, 2010

Rookie Run: 8:10 am • Main Event: 8:30 am

Net proceeds will benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Indiana. This event will start and finish at the NCAA Hall of Champions in downtown Indianapolis. All participants will receive FREE entry into this beautiful facility immediately following the event.

So far IREM Chapter 24, with the help of our sponsors and participants, has raised over $30,000! WOW! Let's continue to build on this success!

Pre-event Registration: $20.00
Day of Event:
$25.00 (shirt availability may be limited day of event)
Children under the age 10 are free.
In addition to the free tour of the NCAA Hall of Champions, each entrant will also receive an event
t-shirt, bib number and post-race refreshments.

Race Day Schedule

Saturday, June 19, 2010:

  • Packet PickUp and Registration 7:00am to 8:00am
  • Rookie Run starts at approximately 8:10 am.
  • Start of 5k Run & Walk (this will be a timed event) 8:30am
  • Awards Ceremony at the NCAA Hall of Champions 10:30am

Please Note: Race Number and Packet Pick Up is available only on Race Day beginning at
7:00 am inside the NCAA Hall of Champions.

Scenic Course

The 5K course will begin at the NCAA Hall of Champions and follow the beautiful Indianapolis Downtown
Canal! Expect at least 1 water station along the way. The course if fairly flat and PERFECT for a
family stroll with the kids!

Highlights

This is a timed event with plaques awarded and a $250 cash prize for both the men's and women's winner!
AND, if the race winner (both male & female) beat the course record (not the RFR record), they will receive
an additional $100 bonus! Anyone that doesn't win, but still beats the course record, will receive a $25 bonus!

Plenty of activities and fun for the whole family! There will be a Rookie Run, caricature drawings, prizes,
and games/activities for the kids. A beautiful scenic path with a family friendly atmosphere. Plus,
free admission to the NCAA Hall of Champions with participant bib number.

Also every participant AND volunteer will receive a FREE Indiana Fever ticket (1 per person please)
for the July 5th game!

Our Rookie Run is great fun for kids under 12! Every child will receive a plastic medal and
1st, 2nd and 3rd place participants will receive gift cards! There are three separate events:

  • 1-5 years (boys and girls)
  • 6-12 years (boys)
  • 6-12 years (girls)

Special appearance of Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard is scheduled.

Ronald McDonald, along with some of the House volunteers, will be on-site during this event.
Make sure you visit with him while you're there.

Don't miss our Post-Event Area that will have pizza, cookies, and water for people to enjoy
after the race!

Prizes

TOP MALE AND FEMALE FINISHERS WILL RECEIVE A COMMEMORATIVE PLAQUE AND $250 CASH!

If the race winner (both male & female) beat the course record (not the RFR record), they will receive

IREM CORPORATE CHALLENGE: (2 Prizes) Trophy for the "corporate team" who has the most number of
paid participants and a trophy for the IREM corporate team (Real Estate Companies or FRIENDS involved
with IREM) who raises the most money via donations.

TEAM PARTICIPATION AWARDS : Any team with more than 10 paying participants (not including free kids) will
receive a commemorative plaque.

COMMUNITY TEAM CHALLENGE: Trophy for the team with the most number of paid participants. [ MORE INFO ]

Prizes for random participants in the race. While the first place winners get plaques, everyone has a
chance to win at this event!

NOTE: When registering on-line or by mail, please make sure you put your company or team name in
the designated area on the registration form so your team receives the correct credit! We suggest
you pre-determine your team name, make sure everyone knows it and knows to include it on
registration documents!
